IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Neville T Marshall

BORN: NOVEMBER 16, 1941 DEPARTED: NOVEMBER 2, 2024
The family of Neville Marshall is heartbroken to announce his passing on November 2, 2024, at the age of 82. He passed away peacefully in Calgary at the Peter Lougheed Hospital, surrounded by family.

Neville will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 31 years, Joan, and his three sons: Todd (Mary), Trevor (Pam), and Tyler (Carmen). His love extended to his stepdaughters Dalene (Rob) Scott, Jolene (Eric) Kirk, and Ralene (Ian) McCulloch. His grandchildren, Phoenix, Payson, Seth, Trinity, Jaylin, Jarett, Cooper, Kaiser, Kade, Winston, Faith, Neo, Christian, Ryder, Ben, and Lyvia, as well as his great-granddaughter Oakleigh, will all cherish his memory. He is also survived by his brothers Jack (Marilyn) and Dale (Marnie), his sisters Linda and Donna (Dennis) Shantz, and his sister-in-law Pat Marshall. Neville’s family through marriage includes sisters-in-law Kathy (Dave) Shields and Deb Craig, and brothers-in-law Ken (Bonnie) Gooding and Rick Gooding, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Neville was born on November 16, 1941, in Innisfail, Alberta, to Frank and Delma Marshall. He was the fourth of their children, growing up on the family farm east of Innisfail. In 1970, Neville and his family moved to Didsbury, where he began working for Shell at the Burnt Timber Gas Plant. After leaving the gas plant, he purchased the Shell Bulk Fuel Station from Fred Hanson in 1979, establishing NTM Bulk Fuels, followed by NTM Supplies in 1986, which he operated until 1991. Neville later worked with Broyce International (which later became Future Ag), G&L Bulk Fuel Sales in Olds, Presidential Enterprises, and the Didsbury Agricultural Society, where he remained until his retirement in 2018.

Neville’s life was enriched by his community involvement and passions. He was an avid slow-pitch and fastball player, a curler, and a dedicated coach for both hockey and baseball. He served on the Didsbury Town Council from 1986 to 1991.

On December 24, 1992, he married his soulmate, Joan, celebrating a union filled with love and laughter. Neville’s big smile, sense of humor, and warmth were felt by all who knew him. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, always ready to lend a hand or share a joke. His legacy is one of kindness, strength, and a deep love for his family and community.

Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Delma, siblings Keith, Brian, Greg, David, and Yvonne, and his parents-in-law Doug and Jean Gooding, Neville’s passing leaves a profound void. He will be remembered with love and gratitude by his family, friends, and the community he served so faithfully.
