June 5, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we say good-bye to Don McCullough, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on June 5, 2020, at the age of 66 years old.
Don was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in April 2019. He fought the disease as hard as he could and he continued to provide for his family in only ways he knew how. Don made the tough decision to discontinue his treatments and spend some well-deserved time with his friends and family.
Don was a part of many groups and organizations over the years, from a Cub Scout leader to a Greyhound bus driver. Don got to live out his childhood dream of becoming a professional wrestler with the CNWA for 12 years. After retiring from the wrestling ring, Don pursued another dream, where he became a member of the Sundre Fire Department for 25 years. Don’s passion always was driving, where he’d drove school bus for Chinooks Edge School Division for 25 years. Through this he touched many lives through his wisdom and his humour.
Don was preceded in death by his father Richard, his mother Pat and his sister Marnie. He is survived by his wife Marion and his three children Malinda (Scott), Breane (Brad) and Nathan (favourite daughter in-law Rachel). He will be forever loved and missed by his grandchildren Jyssica (Zane), Caleb, Jonas, Dominik, Jacob, Simon, Benjamin, Micah, and Zachary. As well as his great grandchildren Mya and Kyllian.
There will a memorial service in Don’s memory held at a later date.
