It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Marie McKay announce her passing on April 28, 2020 at the age of 87. She passed away peacefully at Aspen Ridge Lodge in Didsbury. She is survived by her sister Betty (Gerry) McNabb, brother-in-law Larry (Margaret) McKay, sister-in-law Willie (Norman) Schafer.
She will be lovingly missed by her children Danny (Donna) McKay, Donna (Ron) Pruett, Terry (Sheila) McKay, Bev (Dave) Yellowlees, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Clara Schmick, her husband of 67 years Eugene, sisters Edna, Marge, and Shirley, brother-in-law’s Bud, Ray and Ronnie.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. We would like to thank all the staff at Carstairs Chinook Winds Lodge, Didsbury Aspen Ridge Lodge, and the Didsbury Hospital for the excellent care she received while there. Your commitment to all the seniors is priceless given these challenging times with Covid-19.
