With tears and broken hearts, the family of Barbara McLean announce her passing at Seasons Encore in Olds.
Mom will be missed by Marlene (Guy), Lorraine (late Daryl), and Gord (Laurie). Grandchildren Lauralee (Trevor), Tyler (Megan), Stacey (Joe) and Cody. Great Grandchildren John, Carley, Londyn and Wyatt. Nieces and nephews who she loved and 4 sisters-in-law.
Mom was predeceased by first husband George Botham, second husband Elmer McLean and son-in-law Daryl Aarsby.
Mom was an angel on earth. She worked hard farming, driving school bus, housekeeping, was a companion and a volunteer. Knitting, jigsaw puzzling and visiting occupied much of her time in the last few years.
A memorial service was held at Heartland Funeral Chapel in Olds. Thank you to Heartland for their kindness and for their direction in making mom’s service special. Thank you to Patti for her caring and thoughtfulness in officiating mom’s service, to Ken and Brenda for an awesome eulogy, Lauralee and Lorraine for sharing their memories and thank you to all who attended and who sent cards and kind words to our family.
Thank you also to the staff of the Didsbury Hospital; Bethany, Airdrie; Sundre Lodge and Seasons Encore. Mom loved you all.
