In loving memory of Thomas Alfred Molyneux who passed away on September 5th, 2023.
Dad was born on February 5th, 1930, in Drumheller, Alberta. Dad lived in Drumheller until 1938 when his family moved to Bowden, Alberta, he resided in the area for the remainder of most of his life, with the remaining few years being spent in Olds, Alberta.
Dad met and married the love of his life, Edith, on October 1st, 1954. Dad farmed most of his life in the community of Bowden, He also ran the Pioneer Grain Elevator in Bowden. When he retired, he later took up being a real estate agent for Sun Country Realty and officially retired in August of 1996. Him and Edith did some travelling, lots of camping, and spent time with grandkids and family in their retirement.
Dad is survived by his loving children, Susan McGrath (Jon), Gary (Wendy), Duane (Kathie), Jeff (Jacqui), Dean, Lori Pochapsky (Dave). He is also survived by numerous precious grandchildren and great grandchildren who were very dear and special to him, along with his brother Spence (Judy), and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a dear friend Gena Lampert. Tom will be sadly missed by staff and residents of the lodge especially by Donna, a caring friend.
Tom was predeceased by his wife, Edith, on January 1st, 2004, along with his parents and other brothers and sisters. A private graveside service will be held with his family, as per Tom’s wishes.
An open house will be held on September 18, 2023, at the Paterson Community Hall, Bowden at 1:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Olds Hospital.
