1939 – 2023

Mr. Clarence Milton Moore passed away suddenly at home on the morning of Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the age of 83 years.

Clarence was born to Freda Norma Gillespie and Orrie Leslie Moore at Ponoka, Alberta on May 29, 1939. He grew up with nine siblings; George, Bob, June, Melvin, Ken, Vera, Ethel, Shirley, and Larry, on the family farm that was north of Clive, Alberta.

Clarence married the love of his life, Betty Ann Brodie, in 1964 and started their family in 1966, welcoming the arrival of their son, Kevin Leslie Moore, and in 1967 welcomed the arrival of their daughter, Karen Lynn Moore.

Clarence served in the Military Communications for twenty-eight and a half years, retiring from the army in 1984, where they settled down in Innisfail, Alberta. Their children grew up and started families of their own; Clarence had nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In 2018 Clarence lost the love of his life, Betty. He loved his dogs, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all his heart. During the summer months you would find Clarence out at the Bowden Golf Course almost every day, and during the winter months, curling at the Innisfail Curling Rink. When he wasn’t golfing or curling, he would be watching the Sports Channel, mainly baseball, or setting up the Halloween or Christmas lights for the season.

Clarence will be lovingly remembered by his son, Kevin, his daughter, Karen, his nine grandchildren, Mike, James, Ken, Christina, Austin, Brianna, Kaleb, Shae, and Alia, and his nine great grandchildren. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings, June, Melvin, Vera, Ethel, Shirley, and Larry.
