Allan Morison passed away quietly on July 2, 2024, at the age of 99 years. Allan was born near Innisfail, Alberta, on May 12, 1925, the eighth of eleven children. He spent his formative years on the family farm in Big Bend. In 1951 he married Doreen (nee Olson), a union that lasted almost 61 years (until her death in 2012) and produced five children.
He moved to the Edmonton area for work in 1975, and was there until he moved to Vancouver Island in 2020.
Allan leaves behind one sister, three sons and two daughters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Allan's life is planned for July 27, 2024, at Hampton Inn and Suites, 3916 84 Ave, Leduc (just east of the airport). Open house will be from 1-5 pm, with a short memorial at 2:30pm, followed by refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or the Canadian Red Cross.
