1937 - 2023
Leonard was born on June 5, 1937, to Cornelius A. and Margaretha Neufeld. Leonard was the ninth of ten children. He grew up on a farm east of Didsbury, in a home that made Jesus a priority. Len made a decision to follow Jesus at the age of 21 and that directed the rest of his life.
Len loved being a husband to Ann (Snyder), celebrating 53 years and 360 days of marriage. He was also a passionate dad to his boys, Greg and Jeff. As a family they enjoyed camping, hockey, baseball, skiing, fishing, curling, and hunting.
Len worked at Mobile Oil and dedicated time in the Didsbury community, to Zion Church and to Olds Koinonia Christian School.
Len is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ann; his sons, Greg (Shelli) and their children, Talson, Annelise (Devir) and Caleb (Hanah); and Jeff (Ardith) with their children, Sam (Shana), who had Len’s 3 great-grandchildren, and Dan (Emily). He is also survived by one sister, Esther; his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Vicky Snyder; and sisters-in-law, Edna and Lilian; and many special nephews, and nieces. The rest of his siblings and in’laws passed before him.
Len was also predeceased by his parents and father and mother-in -law, Maynard and Mary Alice Snyder.
