Living independently until March 4, Bud arranged to go into hospice care (Good Samaritan Clearwater Centre in Rocky Mountain House) where he passed one week before his 85th birthday. Despite having lost his sight years earlier, Bud always found a way to maintain a positive attitude. After his wife passed in April 2016, Bud continued living at their home north of Leslieville until November 2018 when he moved into a seniors apartment in RMH. He quickly made numerous friends and joined a senior band playing his banjo for the enjoyment of the “old folks”.
From 1967 to 1978 Bud worked for AGT (Didsbury/Carstairs district) while living west of Olds. He made many friends and was respected for his excellent work ethic and kindness to others.
Bud is survived by his three children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many good friends. He was an honest hard-working man; a dependable husband and father; a good friend....Bud will be missed by many.
