1935 – 2022
Mrs. Corinne Margaret Ouellette (L’Heureux) passed away peacefully on January 22, 2022 at the Innisfail Health Care Centre at the age of 86 years.
Corinne was born on April 28, 1935 in the small hamlet of Jackfish Lake, Saskatchewan. She moved to St. Paul, Alberta to finish her schooling where she met her loving husband, Raymond Ouellette. They were married in 1956 and started their family of five children in St. Paul/Bonnyville area. They moved to Innisfail in 1966 to raise their family and became active members of the community. Corinne had a strong presence in the Catholic Church, CWL, Innisfail School system and sport programs that her children were involved in. Corinne was a member of the Jaycettes, Lions and volunteered with many organizations to support Town of Innisfail’s growing community. Corinne’s love extended to her large family and friends, and she cherished their spontaneous visits.
Corinne will be lovingly remembered by her children, Denis Ouellette (Nancy Lindstrand), Suzanne (John) Little, Robert (Lori) Ouellette, Annette (Gordon) Matthews and Guy (Dixie) Ouellette. Her grandchildren Nicole (Peter) Pillman, Charmaine Ouellette, Gina Ouellette, Reagan (Jason) Deering, Taylor (Kasey) Little, Clayton Little, Jesse (Aimee) Little, Kyle (Vanessa Forget) Ouellette, Eric (Dana) Ouellette, Myra (Simon Stemmler) Ouellette, Mckenzie (Jarett Zentner) Matthews, Connor Matthews, Chance (Calan) Ouellette, Madison (Mitch) Froehler, Jace Ouellette and 13 Great Grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her siblings Therese Johnston, Gilberthe (Frank) Flasch, Tony (Lynn) L’Heureux, Lois L’Heureux and Chuck (Julie) Ouellette and many nieces and nephews.
Corinne is predeceased by her husband Raymond Ouellette, and siblings Laurier L’Heureux, Robert (Jean) L’Heureux, Medric L’Heureux, Jacqueline (Jack) Cameron, Gordon Johnston, and in laws Joffre (Lorraine) Ouellette, Germaine (Joseph) Lapointe, Jacqueline (Dale) Dahlstedt, Gilberthe Chamberland.
A Private Family gathering will be held later this week. There will be a Celebration of Life held on March 12th, 2022 at the Innisfail Library at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the Acute Care Staff at the Innisfail Health Care Centre for the care given to their mother, and the staff at the Heartland Funeral Services.
