1939 to 2021
It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of Vincent Wayne Parcels. Wayne has touched so many lives during his 82 years. We were blessed with his presence, but he has been taken from us way too early, passing August 18th, at home, peacefully in his sleep, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Wayne will always be remembered for being the kind, loving person he was, always putting others first before himself. For his outstanding work ethic, love for nature, animals, and for his ability to always be so positive, finding the beauty in the littlest things, no matter the situation presented to him. Through his farming years, working with his dad, he learned how to fix any machine and always said that you can’t take everything to town and afford to farm. Working the Rigs was a great experience while living at the family farm but decided that Corrections would be a better choice. During his 33- year career at Bowden Institution, he touched so many lives and everyone that met him, felt an instant bond. He has always brought such a positive influence and blessed so many with his Love and compassion, so let us remember him for the inspiration he was to all of us, bringing so much joy to our lives. Wayne, you will always be remembered and never forgotten, as you look down and continue to direct us from above with your internal guidance and wisdom, you so greatly shared. God Bless and Rest in Peace, till we meet again.
Predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Lillian Parcels, daughter Bev Murphy and Mother-in-Law Irene Edgar in 2016.
