Mrs. Carol Pohl of Olds, Alberta passed away at the Olds Hospital on January 27, 2022 at the age of 77 years. Carol is survived by her son Sheldon (Lana) Pohl, daughter Lori (Jim) Tinnion, grandchildren Amy, Megan and Hannah Pohl, Jack, Samuel, Bethany and Ivy Tinnion, and sister Ruth Lepine, as well as nieces, nephews and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband Garfield Pohl, mother Madelene (Crawford) Harper, and father Alexander Harper.
Carol was born and raised in rural Saskatchewan and then later moved to British Columbia. After attending Bible College in Saskatchewan, she met her husband Garfield and settled down in Chilliwack, British Columbia. She raised their two children Sheldon and Lori. She was involved in the Pentecostal Church driving the Sunday School Bus and loved teaching Sunday School to preschoolers. She was also a City of Chilliwack bus driver. In 2005 she and her husband moved to High River, Alberta to be closer to her grandchildren; and still carried on the role of a Sunday School teacher in her local church.
After her husband’s passing in 2018, Carol moved to a senior’s lodge in Olds to be closer to Lori’s family. She will be remembered for her spiritual legacy towards her children and grandchildren. Carol held steadfast to her relationship with her Savior until the day she passed into His presence. You will be missed Grandma Carol.
