It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorraine Pollock (88). After a short battle with cancer Lorraine passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024, at the Westview Health Centre Hospice in Stony Plain, AB.
Lorraine was born on April 16, 1935 in Olds, Alberta. She met Bill, the love of her life, in 1956. They were married in Calgary, AB on April 27, 1957.
Lorraine’s past times included camping and traveling the world with Bill, curling, bowling, shuffleboard, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
Lorraine is survived by her four children, Terry (Wayne), Brenda (Larry), Deborah (Dan), Darryl (Diane); six grandchildren Christopher, Deanna, Kaylyn, Leanne, Kelsey, Shayna; and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Stan (Sarah), sister Charlene (Robin), sister-in-law Marj, brother-in-law Mervin along with many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Bill, parents Albert and Katherine, siblings Shirley and Harvey.
In keeping with Lorraine’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Memorials or donations can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Light Up Your Life Society (NFP charity supporting the Westview Hospice) or any other hospice of your choosing.
