1947 – 2024

Susan was born on March 5, 1947, to George & Lavinia Neville in Brampton, Peel County, Ontario. Susan grew up in a small community of Caledon-East, Ontario. Susan went to Orangeville High School. Later moving to Cobourg, Ontario, were Susan got her first driver's license and eventually upgraded to school bus class and started hauling children for a local bus company.


Susan and family moved to Didsbury in 1979, saying “I'm home”.Alex & Susan Pratt were married in 1983 at the Didsbury United Baptist Church. In total, Susan shared her life with Alex and family for almost 50years.

Susan worked for the County of Mountain View, driving the Horizon School Bus to Olds for more than15 years. In 1995, Susan enrolled into Red Deer College, graduating in 1998 with highest honors. From there, Sue enrolled in online MacEwan University taking "Master of Arts in Communication with Disabilities ", upon graduation, Susan went to work with numerous associations in Olds, writing and applying for government contracts on behalf of clients.


Susan made it a mission to belong in Didsbury, being an avid reader, she joined the Didsbury Library board.  Sue and Alex became foster parents for a period. Susan joined the OORP#317 (Royal Purple) in Didsbury, advanced through the degrees to become Honor Royal Lady. After this, Sue was voted into the position of District Deputy Representative in Alberta for the National Order.

Susan never turned away from helping support local charities like Olds Hospice Society, local cancer, and arthritis societies, as well as anyone needing help.  Later in Retirement, Susan was diagnosed with "Progressive Aphasia ", but Sue
never allowed this diagnosis to prevent her from enjoying garage sales, shopping or thrift sales with old friends. Susan will be thoroughly missed by family and friends, and Sue would be in awe of the remembrance displayed.

Susan is survived by husband Alex Pratt, children; Richard Proulx, Roger Proulx, and Denise Bonner, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren,
Sue's brothers in Ontario; Richard, Joe, and Jon Neville, as well as nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be planned and announced later for those who wish to attend.
