1933 – 2023
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Teresa Jean Rolvink on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the age of 90 years.
Teresa’s early life was never easy, having worked the farm and tending to her chickens. Eventually, after the passing of her husband, Teresa moved to downtown Innisfail, Alberta. She was a member of the Drop In where she loved all the activities that they provided, especially playing Cribbage where she finally was dealt a perfect hand.
Teresa loved to bake, knit and crochet, where her true crowning moment was when a framed crochet of a horse was entered in an auction that supported youth hockey in Alberta. The successful bidder was Ron MacLean for an impressive amount for whom she eventually got the pleasure of meeting.
She was a kind, generous person that would never hesitate to say what was on her mind.
She is lovingly remembered by her nephew Joe (Patti) Ruesen and family, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Teresa will be deeply missed by Nicole Ransom and family, William Kovacs and family and her countless friends at the Drop In and around town.
Teresa was predeceased by her husband Antonius Rolvink, her parents Adrian and Adrianna Hamers and her brother Leo Hamers.
Many thanks to the staff at Innisfail Health Centre and the Red Deer Hospice Society.
A Celebration of Teresa’s Life will be held at a later date.
