Gaylon passed away August 17, 2022, in Calgary, AB, at the age of 95. He was born on June 23, 1927, in Olds, AB, to Arnold and Minnie (nee Stromsmoe) Ronneberg. He spent his childhood on the family farm in the Eagle Hill area of Alberta. He married Stella Doyle in 1952 and had two children, Sheila, and Ronald.
He always loved driving trucks & tractors. As a young man, he owned his own truck for hauling grain as part of farming, or gravel while he worked on the road crew. Then, after moving to Calgary, he drove concrete trucks for Gallelli's. With a decision to a change careers, he became a heavy-duty mechanic for A.R. Williams, where he worked until his retirement. He enjoyed his retirement years by wintering in Yuma, Arizona with summers spent still driving tractors around the family farm.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Stella; children, Sheila and Ronald (Lorna); grandchildren, Jonathan (Megan), Christopher (Rebecca), Candace, Kyla, and Kade; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Penelope, Bennett, Hayden, and Max.
Funeral/Celebration of Life will be held at a date and location to be determined in the future. Interment will be at Eagle Hill Cemetery.
