November 29, 1943 - November 22, 2020
Jerry was an Albertan through & through. He was born in Olds November 29, 1943 graduated High School in Caroline & spent most of his life in the Sundre area. He passed peacefully in Sylvan Lake on November 22, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. He was a hard worker & was one of the first hunting guides in the N.W.T. He was even part of a documentary called “Challenging the Northwest Territories”. He formed Saunders Contractors along with his father and brothers & then went on to own & operate a pressure truck. He loved woodworking, gardening, skiing, fishing, camping & dancing (there was always a lineup of ladies wanting to jive with him). He was predeceased by his wife Darlene, brother Duane, parents Art & Elsie, daughter Debbie, and great grandson Colt.
He is survived by children Tod (Krista), Angie (Jeff), Kalinda (Derek) & their families; brother Allan (Gwenda); sister Judy and sister-in-law Pat. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service was held. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alzheimers Society.
