It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Chris Schaper on August 1, 2021 at the age of 52 years.
Chris was born November 18, 1968 in Sault Ste. Marie, ON to Christian and Shirley Schaper. He was a long haul truck driver for over 22 years and loved the highway. Chris had a passion for wolves and had a dog “Bear” that was part wolf. He enjoyed his mornings feeding the birds and squirrels that gathered in his yard.
He will be sadly missed and forever loved. Chris is survived by his best friend and spouse Jackie Majic; parents Christian and Shirley Schaper; daughters Chelsea Mousseau-Schaper and Emma Carls; stepson Kenny Majic; sister Tina Richards; niece and nephew Samantha and Logan Richards and special grandson Holden Leask.
In keeping with Chris’ wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, 263156 Rg. Rd. 53, Rocky View County, AB T4C 2W1.
