Christa Marianne Schulz (Huebner) of Carstairs, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2023, in Didsbury.
Christa was born July 28, 1932, in Ilmanau, Germany. She immigrated to Canada in 1952 at the age of 19 and married the love of her life, Herbert Schulz on December 13 of the same year. Herbert and Christa lived in Calgary where she worked as a seamstress until 1969 when they moved out to the farm south of Carstairs.
Christa and Herbert spent many weekends in Calgary dancing at the German Canadian Club, visiting with their friends and playing cards. They enjoyed many winters in Hawaii and Palm Springs. Christa was an amazing cook, an exceptional gardener and a wonderful Oma and will be dearly missed.
Christa was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 2021. Christa leaves behind her son Rudy (Jennifer) and grandchildren, Nicole, Jake and Kurt and her brother Juergen Rother.
We are very grateful for all of the love and care from the staff at the Bethany, Didsbury, that was given to our Mom/Oma over the years.
