The family of Mrs. Margaret May ‘Marg’ Shannon are deeply saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the age of 82 years.

Marg was born in Turner Valley, Alberta on March 7, 1942 to Fred and Eva Hill, she was one of eleven children. When she was ten, the family moved to Buffalo Lake. At the age of fifteen, after her dad’s passing, Marg had to leave school and begin working. She ventured out into the world and had many jobs, the first job had no pay, just room and board.

Marg attended a dance at the Evergreen Hall and met the love of her life, Roy Shannon. Shortly after they were married on June 30, 1962. Together they had a family of six children. Gordon was born and then they welcomed in Cheryl and Lorna, followed by the birth of Gail, Raymond and Sharon. In 1971, Marg and Roy purchased their farm in the Kevisville area, where they raised their family. Throughout the years they welcomed numerous relatives to stay with them. Their door was always open to those in need. Marg loved having all her family together, farm life with her little dog by her side, gardening, feeding her chickens, going out west quadding, camping, fishing and horseback riding. Marg and Roy went on numerous holidays and enjoyed many winters in Arizona. Marg made many special memories with close friends and family over the years. She lived life to the fullest.
