1935-2022
Hugh James Sinnamon (Uncle Bud) of Sundre, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Myron Thompson Health Centre in Sundre, Alberta on September 15, 2022, at the age of 87.
Hugh was born January 16, 1935, in Turnberry Township, Huron County, Ontario to Hugh Lockhart Sinnamon and Ada McMichael Sinnamon he was the seventh of eight children.
He was predeceased by his parents and his seven siblings Sadie, Ken, Glen, Retha, Mary, Bob and John.
Hugh was a teacher and taught his whole career until retirement in his hometown of Wingham, Ontario. Hugh visited Alberta many times to pursue his love of skiing and horseback riding in the hills.
After retirement he moved west and made Sundre, Alberta his home. He loved having family visit and loved to ride his horses. He was a member of the Sundre United Church and Choir; he was also a seasoned volunteer and spent many hours helping wherever he could. Hugh was quite musical, and he spent many hours learning the piano, violin and flute, for his enjoyment. We remember a picture of him and brothers Bob and John riding the foothills with smiles from ear to ear (I think the horses were smiling too). That picture was worth a thousand words. Uncle Bud always made it back to the family reunion every year but could only stay a day or two at most, he had to return home for the horses.
He will always be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews for his laugh, smiles and his bone crushing handshake. The family also wishes to send a huge debt of gratitude to friends Nita Bartholow and Christine Jamieson for years of friendship and care. The Family of the Late Hugh Sinnamon.
