1941 – 2023
Mr. Don Smith passed away at the Lamont Health Care Centre on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the age of 81 years.
Don was born in Wilkie, Saskatchewan on November 29, 1941. His family moved to Coronation, Alberta, in 1950, where he would finish High School and start his career at the local TD Bank. He brought his family to Innisfail, Alberta in 1979 as the manager of the Innisfail TD Branch. He was part of the Innisfail community for the next thirty seven years, eventually becoming the local H&R Block Franchise owner.
Don moved to the auxiliary wing of the Lamont Health Care Centre in 2016. His family wishes to thank the staff at the Lamont Auxiliary for the tremendous care they have provided over the past six years.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his son, Shawn (Jenelle) Smith, his grandchild, Regan Smith all of Edmonton, Alberta and his sister, Janice (Gerald) Elliott of Coronation, Alberta.
Don is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Karen Smith.
