1938-2021
The family of Clifford (Curly) Paul Stauffer regretfully announce his tragic death on June 23, 2021, at his home near Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
Curly was born in Didsbury, Alberta, the third son of Lloyd and Emma Stauffer. Raised on the family dairy farm with six brothers and one sister, he had an active childhood where he learned how to work hard. Until well into his seventies he could outwork most people decades younger.
Curly had numerous different careers. He was self-taught in many trades and skills and used his natural talent, creativity and keen problem-solving abilities to create amazing projects – from houses and airplanes to scratch-built miniature semi-trucks.
His many interests included aviation, motorcycles and horses. He acquired his last horse and last motorcycle at 81. The horses especially brought a smile to his face and twinkle in his eyes.
Curly’s greatest passion was that people would know his Lord and enjoy a personal relationship with their Creator as he did.
His enthusiasm, passion and courage will be missed by his family, friends and community.
Curly was predeceased by his son Trevor and grandchildren Dallas and Emma. He is survived by daughters Suzan (Bob), Deana, Joli (Steve); son Cliff Jr (Rebecca); his sister Lillian and brothers Arnold, Ed and Lyle; and his 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00pm, September 18 at the Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
