Max Stoppler of Innisfail, Alberta passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023.
He was predeceased by his wife Helena, his parents Joseph and Regina Stoppler, his brothers Adam and Peter and his sister Dorothy. He is survived by his sister Barbara his brother Ernie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Max was born in Kendal, Saskatchewan and before retirement he was an oilfield professional working across Western Canada, and overseas in Spain, Algeria, South Africa, the Middle East, Brazil and Australia.
Max and Helen were always packed and on the move and called over 40 places home with Innisfail being the place they stayed the longest. They preferred acreage living in places like Mulhurst and Westerose, Olds, and Penhold, AB., They also lived in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan, Osoyoos, BC, and on the other end of the scale, exotic places like Belem, Portugal, Adelaide, Australia, and Majorca, Spain.
A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
