Delores passed peacefully in her sleep December 26th at Chinook Winds Lodge in Carstairs. Delores is predeceased by her husband Charlie, her Mother Alice and father Gifford Holmquist, her brother Kenny, her sister Marjorie and her son-in-law Edward.
Mom was a quiet reserved woman whose family was her greatest joy. She was a good friend to many. In her youth Mom liked all kinds of sports. When she and Charlie married and moved around, they found great enjoyment and friendship from curling, bowling, and many games of cards. The activity she enjoyed the most was golf.
A passion of Mom’s throughout her life was animals. She had or cared for horses, dogs, cats and the occasional bird. When Mom moved into Chinook Winds Lodge, she reconnected with many friends from earlier years. She enjoyed her time there.
Delores is survived by her five children Charlotte, Sandra, Brenda (Brant), Randy, and Kevin (Darlene); grandchildren Jason (Colette), Jeffery (April), Travis(Angela), Krista(Jay), Coralynn (Andrew) and Christopher; great grandchildren Brenna, Evan, Briella, Rebecca, Cassandra, Fletcher, Lilith and Ivy. Also, her sister-in-law Peggy and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family memorial will be held in August. Heartfelt gratitude from the family to the staff at Chinook Winds Lodge for their compassion and care
