Klaas van den Oever passed away on January 27, 2022 in Didsbury, Alberta.
Born and raised in Holland, Klaas finished his education and served, in the Dutch army. Klaas met and married Johanna Koster in 1974 and they had two children Nicole and Michael. In 1982 they immigrated to Alberta, Canada and settled in Crossfield. In 1985 their third child Wesley was born.
Klaas dreamt of owning his own business and they opened Hocan Industries in 1987 and ran a successful business until they sold it in 2007.
Klaas and Johanna travelled extensively in their motorhome and overseas and enjoyed their vacation property in Montana.
Klaas is survived by his wife Johanna; children Nichole, Michael, Wesley; grandkids Nicholas, Emma, Hailee, Ryker, Karter and Noah. Klaas will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A private service will be held Saturday February 5, 2022.
