It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Tyler Glenn Venaas on September 8, 2021 at the age of 44. Tyler was born in Camrose on December 5, 1976. He graduated from Olds High School in 1995 and later pursued his studies at Lakeland College earning his Teaching Degree. Tyler taught for 2 years at Clandonald School.
He enjoyed the sport of hockey throughout his life as player, coach and spectator. He played for the Olds Grizzlys in the mid 1990's. He will be forever remembered by his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Norman & Juanita Venaas and Floyd Emde; cousins Joan Venaas & Patti Long.
Tyler is survived by his children, Cruise, Paynton, August & Sienna; father Glen (passed away September 16, 2021); mother, Sandra (Larry); sister Tara (Steve); grandmother Gwen Emde; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #105, Olds on Friday, September 24 at 2 p.m. The Restricted Exemption Program will be in effect. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation or S.P.C.A.
