Alice is lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Bob; four daughters, Patsy of Calgary, Leslie of Lethbridge, Sandra of Water Valley and Donna Lee of Didsbury; one son, Randal of Cremona; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie and sister, Glenda of Sundre. She was predeceased by her parents, Grace and Calvin; brothers, Ormond and Clint; and sister, Lolly.
Alice Virginia Whitlow (nee Coleman) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Bethany Didsbury Long Term Care at the age of 85 years. She was born in Didsbury, Alberta on May 26, 1936 and was raised in the Cremona area where she met and married Robert Whitlow on July 4, 1955. Together they farmed for 30 years and moved to Didsbury in 1985. Alice moved to the Bethany Didsbury Long Term Care in August 2020.
Alice enjoyed knitting, crotcheting, cooking and quilting. She wrote many articles on how to knit and crochet left handed that were published in various craft magazines. Alice complied and published a Cremona and Area Community history book called “Under the Chinook Arch” and ran a craft store on the farm and also created “Calico Patches” craft store in Didsbury.
