December 14, 1933 – February 5,2022
Walter James Wilson passed peacefully on February 5, 2022 at the age of 88.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lucille; son, Michael; and granddaughter, Jordin. Walt is survived by his sister, Kay; Daughters, Robinne (Jim), Una and Marian (Steve); daughter-in-law, Liesel; grandchildren, Jillian (Bob), Daniel, Darcee, Katlyn, Samara and Bode; great-grandchild son, Wyatt and close companions; Mac, Barb and Larry.
Walter was a dairy farmer (Yay Holsteins!) and later a beef and grain farmer east of Carstairs. Known as Grampa Tease, all who knew Walt can attest to his penchant for giving and receiving a hard time. Camping, bonfires and wienie roasts filled the summer months. Going for coffee- and having a good visit was always on his to-do list. Though not particularly spiritual, Walt lived a life of service. He volunteered his time, tools and expertise; he helped neighbors; he chauffeured people in need; he was a 4-H leader, and the list goes on. If it needed to be done, he was there.
A come and go celebration of his life will be held on June 4, 2022 beginning at 2p.m. at Westridge Farms belonging to Robinne and Jim Hurt.
