1947 – 2024
Mrs. Marie Rose Wolstenholme of Red Deer County, Alberta, born December 14, 1947, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice, Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the age of 76 years.
Marie spent a life well lived and well loved by numerous friends and family. She was born in Carragana, Saskatchewan and spent large parts of her life in Weekes, Saskatchewan, Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, Marwayne, Alberta, Valleyview, Alberta, and had lived in Spruce View, Alberta for the last thirteen years.
Marie loved babies and old folks, pets and plants, flowers, family, and friends. Most of all, she loved time with loved ones, whether it be at the campground, family meals, or on vacation.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Kirby Wolstenholme, her sons and daughters-in-law, Clint and Denine Wolstenholme, and Keith and Cleo Wolstenholme, her grandchildren and their partners, Sage (Liam), Ethan (Martina), Arwyn and Bronwyn, as well as numerous other loving family and friends.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Marjorie Johnson, her parents-in-law, Bob and Ethel Wolstenholme, her sister, Jean Croswell, her brother-in-law, Bruce Wolstenholme, and by her baby boy.
A Celebration of Marie’s Life was held at the Heartland Funeral Services Chapel, Innisfail, Alberta on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
