It is with great sadness that the family of Yvonne Bryant bid Farewell to our wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and friend.
Yvonne was born just outside Shaunovan, Saskatchewan in 1920 to a Family of 12 children and passed away February 18, 2020 at the age of 99 years young.
Yvonne’s first husband, Gene, passed away shortly after they were married and she relocated to Calgary, Alta. with their son Gerry to start a new life. It was in Calgary that she met and married her ‘Forever After’ love, Eric Bryant and together they moved to Olds to raise their family while they both worked at the Olds College.
Mom enjoyed gardening and had beautiful flowerbeds. She was a terrific baker, creating many Wedding Cakes for couples in and around Olds. And she loved to knit, especially for children and babies, making those wonderful special Hoodies and sweaters
Yvonne and Eric did some travelling after retiring, and spent their winters in Victoria. B.C. After 59 wonderful years together, Eric passed away in 2008, and Yvonne started a new chapter of her life. She moved to Qualicum Beach B.C. where she reunited with her sister, Della and the two of them spent many great hours, berry picking, playing cards and long walks.
Yvonne is survived by her loving children: Gerry (Peggy), Bob ( Sandy), Barbara (Bob) and Ron(Kim), 10 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Also Brothers Fred and Joe, Sisters Alma and Eva.
Our Mom lived her life to the fullest and ended her journey here on earth peacefully. We will miss and love you everyday Mom, and remember you through all the stories to be told.
