OLDS – Alberta’s premier is expected in Olds Saturday for a town hall but not everyone is invited.
The event at the Olds branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is being put on by the United Conservative Party.
“This event is for United Conservative members only,” states a portion of the invitation to members.
Doors open at 1 p.m. and the program starts at 2 p.m.
The UCP is holding a number of these town halls across the province. Premier Danielle Smith was in Grande Prairie Thursday for a members-only town hall with MLAs Nolan Dyck and Ron Wiebe.
The Sylvan Lake members-only town hall on Aug. 14 is to feature Smith and Innisfail - Sylvan Lake MLA Devin Dreeshen.
Like the Olds event, the upcoming town hall in Lacombe on Aug. 17 features only Smith and no MLAs, according to the invitation to members.
