A man charged in connection with an incident in which a bullet was fired through a home and into a Bowden apartment building is due back in court late next month.
James Colwell, 26, of Bowden is charged with careless use of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and mischief under $5,000. The mischief under $5,000 charge is in regard to damage inflicted on the apartment building by the bullet.
The incident occurred last November. No injuries were reported.
Colwell appeared in provincial court in Didsbury on Jan. 16 in connection with the case. It was adjourned to Feb. 27 for plea.
A warrant was also issued for a co-accused in the case, Katelynn Clark, 23, also of Bowden, after she failed to appear in court on Dec. 19.
Clark is charged with careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and failure to comply with an undertaking. Failing to comply with an undertaking basically means not following the rules of a release from custody.
