A 24-year-old Bowden man is due in court in Red Deer on March 1 in regard to a break-in and a stolen vehicle.

Zachariah Shawn Bodman faces three charges in connection with the incident, which occurred Jan. 14.

He was arrested after RCMP spotted a suspicious vehicle parked at the Innisfail 7-Eleven.

"The driver of the vehicle was inside the store when Mounties learned the vehicle was in fact stolen," an RCMP news release says. "Police confronted the male who then fled on foot and was apprehended shortly after without incident."

Further investigation led police to link Bodman with a break-in at the Spruce View Co-op gas bar, which had occurred earlier on Jan. 14.

As a result, Bodman faces the following charges:

Break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Possession of stolen property not exceeding $5,000.

Possession of break-in tools.
