Prior to the banquet for about 40 people, principal Tom Christensen took the group on a very informational guided tour of the new Olds High School.

Following dinner, Christensen spoke to the group about the importance of school friendships, maintaining contact with each other, and always being proud to say we are from Olds.

"Once a grad of OHS you always have a home at OHS."

Christensen emphasized that while we have "world-class school facilities, schools are not about buildings but rather about the people that are in them: students and teachers."

The evening included a photo gallery, music and songs of the era on the screen and short autobiographies by some of those in attendance. Many stories were exchanged. The banquet tables were decorated in the OHS school colours, black and gold, for the occasion. A tribute was made to those who have passed on, as they are fondly remembered by classmates.

Farewells after breakfast on Sunday concluded a weekend of renewed friendships, much laughter and many memories, which for some classmates, go back about 75 years.

The total collection of pictures was donated to the Mountain View Museum and Archives. A monetary donation was also made to the Olds and District Hospice Society.
