RCMP say the two drivers involved in a collision near Didsbury last week were lucky to avoid serious injury. On Nov. 24 at 5:45 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Hwy. 582 and Hwy. 2A.

Corporal Warren Wright of the Didsbury RCMP said a vehicle driven by a 17 year-old female from Carstairs, made a u-turn near the industrial park and pulled onto highway in front of an eastbound vehicle and was struck.

Wright said the driver of the offending car was charged with making a u-turn when it was unsafe to do so.

Both vehicles were totaled during the collision and RCMP say that both drivers were lucky to walk away from the crash uninjured.
