OLDS — A resident of Innisfail and a resident of Penhold face charges after a drug bust in Olds.

The case stems back to March 27 when the Olds Crime Reduction Unit spotted alleged drug trafficking activity occurring in Olds, police said in a release issued Monday.

A traffic stop was conducted with help from Olds RCMP.

Through an investigation, police said 238 grams of suspected methamphetamine was found.

As a result, Shaylene McCauley, 26, of Innisfail, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, failing to comply with an undertaking and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Michael Goodine, 48, of Penhold was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

McCauley and Goodine were held for a judicial interim release hearing and later released.

Goodine was slated to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Didsbury Monday, April 7. McCauley is scheduled to appear on April 28.
