A long service awards and staff appreciation celebration was held at the Olds Hospital and Care Centre on March 6. Eight retirees and 34 staff members were honoured for their years of dedication.
Retirees who were honoured were Sylvia Harder, health information management, 31 years; Barb Chant, acute care, 30 years; Marjorie Breslawski, operating room, 31 years; and Lorraine Maybank, pharmacy management, 28 years; Glory May, long-term care, 18 years; Brenda Chrest, environment services, 28 years; Bonnie J. Berndt, nutrition and food services, 30 years; and Cheryl Teuling, nutrition and food services, 31 years.
Also honoured were Julie MacDonald, environment services, and Nancy Johnston, operating room, both of whom have 30 years of service.
Cindy Krause, operating room; and Susan Rieberger, long-term care, have 25 years each.
Four people who have logged 20 years each were also lauded. They are Debbie Coombes, acute care; Kristine Schultz, administration; Tina St. Pierre, health information management; and Chris Ganslmaier, lab/DI.
Celebrating 15 years of service were Paula Kilback, lab/DI; Shelly Bach, operating room; Christy Quaife Mercier, long-term care; Robin Lee Mahon, long term care; and Sarah Blech, health information management.
Those celebrating 10 years of service included Brianne Darcy, lab/DI; Chantal Crawford, education, acute care; Jeff Jorgensen, facility maintenance and engineering; as well as Courtney Pratt, operating room.
Eight acute care employees have hit the 10-year service milestone. They are Helen DeWolfe, Cheryl Coleman, Jodie Friesen, Hallie Hengstler, Michelle Hynes, Bridget Olsen, Heather Stewart and Amy Waldron.
Four staff in long-term care have also served for 10 years. They are: Cecilia Anonuevo, Suzanne Dubeau, Kimberly Ness and Sandra Van Dongen.
Three nutrition and food services employees have provided 10 years of service as well. They are Cindy Burch, Florence Craig and Joyce Quaife.
Two physicians with the Wild Rose Medical Centre were also lauded for 10 years of service. They are Dr. Foose Onsongo and Dr. Du Duong.
