OLDS - A motor vehicle collision is being blamed for a power outage in Olds Tuesday afternoon.
FortisAlberta noted the outage started on the town’s east side at about 4:40 p.m. saying the cause was a motor vehicle collision.
Restoration was in progress shortly thereafter.
Over 1,600 customers were originally affected but by about 5:28 p.m. some 149 were still without power.
Traffic lights at Highway 2A and Highway 27 were affected as well as all businesses in the Forty Six Square Plaza.
