The new president of the Olds and District Chamber of Commerce wants to continue bringing valuable programs to its membership base.
"We're continuing with trying to provide programming for businesses through Ö specialized training for the employees. Also, we're looking at partnering with the Alberta Works on different workshops and initiatives, continuing to bring topics of interest into the business community. We try and increase the value for businesses that are chamber members,î said Doug Rieberger, president of the chamber.
Currently, chamber membership stands at about 225 businesses. Rieberger was chosen as president on March 20 for a one-year term. Melanie Hepp was chosen as the vice-president, Lyn McMaster Haw assumed the treasurer's role and Jared Reist was chosen as the secretary.
Rieberger took over as president from Curtis Setso.
