OLDS — Olds College of Agriculture & Technology (OCAT) has named existing staff to three roles at the institution.
Joy Agnew is now the college’s vice-president of research, Peter Mal is vice-president of student experience and Todd Ormann is now the vice-president of development.
All three vice-presidents began their new roles yesterday, on April 17.
Agnew previously served as the college’s associate vice-president of applied research.
Mal joined Olds College in 2015, and most recently served as its associate vice-president of students and registrar.
Ormann joined the college in 2022 as associate vice-president of industry solutions & partnerships.
Previously, Patrick Machacek served as the college’s vice-president of development. He’s now the vice-president of development & partnerships at Red Deer Polytechnic.
Debbie Thompson held the dual title of vice-president of academic and student experience. She will now simply be vice-president academic, sources say.
OCAT president Ben Cecil congratulated all three on their new roles.
“With the addition of the expertise that our new vice-presidents bring to the table, we will ensure that Olds College has the leadership to continue to be a leading agriculture technology post-secondary focused on fulfilling our social purpose of transforming agriculture for a better world,” he said in a news release.
