Olds College is doing its part to help out Red Deer College (RDC) during the Canada Winter Games.

Randy Butler, a corporate and communications marketing advisor at Olds College, says 132 RDC students have made way for Games athletes. They're staying in student housing on the Olds College campus, then being bused for classes in Red Deer.

Butler says that's not having any effect on Olds College students.

"No Olds College students are being displaced," he said in an email to the Albertan. "Our student housing facility has some open space, and that is being used by the RDC students."

Mélanie Paré, coordinator of official languages and communications for the Canada Winter Games agrees that's been a win-win for both colleges.

The Canada Winter Games began Feb. 15 in Red Deer and end March 3.
