OLDS — On March 12, anyone looking for free artwork could be in luck, because on that day, Olds artist Lorene Runham is participating in International Art And Found Day.

On that Tuesday, participating artists hide art they’ve created in various places in the community.

Each piece is packaged up safely and clearly marked with the hashtag #ArtandFoundDay.

Inside each package a note with information about the piece and the artist.

This is the second time Runham has participated in International Art And Found Day.

Runham plans to hide her art in Uptowne this year because this year, International Art And Found Day falls on a week day. She wants to give people the best chance to find them. Last year, International Art And Found Day fell on a Sunday, so she hid her artworks around grocery stores, and that was successful, she said. They were all found.
