Olds residents were among those arrested and charged Friday by Coronation RCMP after stolen property, drugs and break-in instruments were located north of Halkirk.
On March 7, Coronation RCMP was dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near an active ATCO site on Township Road 400, north of Halkirk, police said in a press release issued Sunday.
According to police, the complainant indicated that there appeared to be leaking fluids coming from underneath the vehicle.
In a search incidental to arrest, police said the following was found:
• break-in instruments
• stolen fuel from Town of Halkirk office
• items stolen from ATCO site
As a result of the investigation, Olds residents Cory Davies, 48, and David Pierce, 50, along with Calgary resident Daniel Gravestock, 45, were jointly charged with the following offences:
• break and enter;
• two counts mischief under $5,000;
• theft under $5,000;
• three counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000;
• possession of stolen property over $5,000; and
• possess break and enter tools.
Other charges were also laid.
Pierce and Gravestock have been charged with two counts of breaching their release orders.
After judicial interim release hearings, police said Gravestock and Pierce have been remanded into custody and will be appearing in court on March 10 and 11 at Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
Davies was released with conditions to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Coronation on March 14.
