OLDS — The Olds & District Hospice Society has received the largest donation in its history, $100,000, executive director Mary Smith says.
Hospice care is a type of health care that focuses on making a person’s end-of-life journey as comforting as possible.
Smith says the money, received anonymously, arrived Nov. 24.
“Pretty exciting,” Smith wrote in a text to the Albertan. “Biggest donation ever.”
Smith said the plan is to put the money into the organization’s general revenue.
