OLDS — The COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdowns that go with it are creating history.
The Mountain View Museum and Archives in Olds doesn’t want to pass up the chance to document it via the citizens who are living it.
So they’re collecting stories from anyone who wants to provide them. That collection began April 26.
Olds Historical Society chair Donna Erdman announced that project during a recent presentation to Olds town council.
"This will be open to anyone who wants to share in writing how the pandemic has changed their lives, their jobs, their relationships and how they view the future,” a report Erdman presented said.
"Oral histories are being taken from Olds first responders who are volunteering to tell the story of how the pandemic has changed their jobs and how it has affected their lives. These stories will be held in the museum archives for later generations.”
