OLDS — Olds RCMP are asking for your help to find the owner of a Massey Ferguson model 270 tractor with a cab and front-end loader attached.
The abandoned tractor was recovered at a gravel pit located near Wimborne. Wimborne is about 44 kilometres northeast of Olds, just south of Highway 587.
Olds RCMP Cst. Morley Statchuk said police don’t know if the owner lives in Olds or somewhere else, so he sent a news release on Oct. 19 about it throughout the province.
Statchuk says Olds RCMP got a tip that the tractor was at the gravel pit and found it there on Sept. 16.
“We’re just trying to determine of course the rightful owner and we couldn’t, so now we’re looking for assistance,” Statchuk says.
“We’re trying to get public assistance for information to point us in the direction of who may own it or who can maybe give us information as to how it got there.”
