OLDS — RCMP are continuing to investigate a motorcycle collision that occurred Tuesday at about 4:55 p.m. just south of Olds at Twp. Rd. 322 and Highway 2A.
Olds firefighters, RCMP and ambulance personnel responded.
“Investigation determined a single male rider on the motorcycle attempted to pass a semi transport truck. The motorcycle appeared to have lost control while passing,” Cpl. Courtney Harding said in a news release issued April 22.
Witnesses on-scene provided first aid until emergency crews arrived.
The rider was transported to hospital in serious condition.
Harding said road conditions and weather are not believed to have been factors in the incident.
