OLDS — Warm, balmy weather spurred huge crowds for the annual Olds Christmas kickoff.
Kids, parents and caregivers, along with the occasional dog, wandered along the path in Centennial Park taking in various booths and activities the afternoon of Dec. 7.
Attractions included photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a nativity scene, small petting zoo, fishing game and even a chance to paint the snow in bright colours.
Folks could also munch on hot dogs, drink hot chocolate and eat Christmas cookies.
Celebrations ended with the annual Santa Claus Parade of Lights, held in the Uptowne core.
