OLDS — Members of the United Nurses of Alberta Local 43 at the Olds Hospital & Care Centre plan to hold a rally in front of the facility on July 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The rally, held in conjunction with members of the Alberta Union of Public Employees, is called A Time For Action.

Its purpose is to show the support of the two groups for publicly delivered health care in Alberta, and “the importance of nurses to the health care team,” a media advisory says.

“Nurses need better wages and safe staffing for patient care,” the release says.

Members of several other unions are expected to attend.
